Astute observers or longtime fans (the two being, of course, mutually exclusive) may have detected the absence among the above link selections of certain numbers from the original CD release. The Donna Lee selections' omission is owing to an outstanding lawsuit filed by the Lee estate. One could look forward to a timely settlement.
The litigation regarding the Cueball Meditation is currently in mediation. Mr. Cue is confident the
claims of 'reckless and shameful sucking' by the plaintiff (Arbiters of Piano Taste and Quality, inc.) will be found inadmissible, solid merits notwithstanding.
Those in possession of the 2001 limited edition issue of the Pete E. Cue CD, are asked to respect these legal injunctions and abstain from listening to, playing, or otherwise distributing the aforementioned selections pending settlement of all legal actions.
